The former Noise Ratchet front-man has retained the polish of his indie-rock roots but taken on the character that can only come from time and experience. His work has the naturally occurring patina that is so coveted among musicians because it can’t be bought or faked. Joel Luke’s background and resume are especially desirable, as they include cutting an album with Rick Rubin, recording at Sound City Studios in Los Angeles, and years of ever-growing tour-runs (Dashboard Confessional, Switchfoot) while the band was signed to major label American Recordings.

Joel Luke’s tunes are capturing the attention of Country and Americana audiences, but it’s impossible to ignore the enviable and enduring pop sensibility of his writing. When the band hit pause, Joel got off the road to start a family. While band members pursued different projects (including starting Delta Spirit) Joel continued his musical life from a different angle, becoming a luthier (Taylor Guitars 1996-2006) and opening Seven C music.
